Joe & Jen, Our Cancer Journey
Donation protected
HEY CANCER! YOU PICKED THE WRONG GUY!
Joe (37) is a hard-working man who loves his family. He's a devoted and loving husband to his wife Jen and an amazing father to his two children Bailey (10) and Nolan (8).
In January of 2016, Joe tore his ACL and had to be off work. He caught a cold in the winter that just wouldn't go away. So in the spring of 2016, following a CT scan, Joe was informed of a mass on his lung. On June 7th, they were informed that they believed it was cancer and life as they knew it came to a halt. Several scans and biopsies later, Joe was officially diagnosed with Stage III adenocarcinoma. Telling their family and especially their children was one of the hardest things they had to do. But everyone is rooting for Joe and knows he is strong and determined: he will never give up!
This fall, Joe began intensive rounds of chemo and radiation as a treatment plan with his family of cheerleaders by his side! He will have to undergo a surgery to remove the upper lobe of his lung removed as well as any cancerous lympth nodes as early as late November or early December. The entire process has been rough on Joe (as well as Jen and the kids) but he has been a trooper through the treatments: illness, loss of appetite, hair loss, etc. - always being grateful and kindly thanking everyone who is encouraging him and in his corner (a heart of gold)!
This entire journey has been extremely trying on Joe and Jen and their family both emotionally and also financially. His extended family members are now asking for your help to make a donation in order to lift the financial burden of this challenge off of Joe and Jen and allow them to focus on beating this! They should not have to worry about money at this time on top of all the stress and challenges they are facing. Please give generously and share this page and encourage others to do the same. We thank you so much in advance for your blessings and your support!
Tough times never last, but tough people do! Joe is kicking cancer's butt! #wearpearl
