Joe Parsons Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Hi all. On Sunday, March 28th, 2021 tragedy struck a family that I love as and call my own. In a freak accident, our sweet Joe (JoJo) Parsons was struck and critically injured by a stray bullet. He was life-flighted to UNC where he has undergone multiple major surgeries from his injuries. He currently remains in ICU in guarded condition and is expected to have a lengthy recovery and rehabilitation requiring medical equipment and home construction to accommodate these injuries he has sustained. We believe our God remains in control and will bring Joe home!!
Joe is a local farmer and he is the happiest when he is out on his farm and even happier when he is teaching and guiding his grandson Seth. His wife Barbara has remained by his side at UNC since the accident. The SECU house and Ronald McDonald houses are full, therefore she is having to pay for a hotel just to be able to shower and rest intermittently. Joe is a wonderful and kind man, local farmer, church deacon, and a Sunday school teacher who has always given to others. Those who know him, know his love for the Lord and his family. They know he is a man of character with a gentle spirit and a kind heart.
Many people have reached out and asked how they can help or give money to assist their family with the mounting medical expenses and the expenses it will require once Joe is home so I am setting up a GoFundMe account for them and will be adding a Venmo and Paypal in the next few days for those that wish to give via those routes. Thank you to all those who have reached out and are willing to help Joe and Barbara during this time and thank you for all the well wishes and prayers! Please continue to pray for Joe and Barbara as he has a long recovery.
