Joe Peters' much-needed dental work
Donation protected
Joe (age 61) knows how to persevere. Since his 30's he's been dealing with the effects of Freidrick's Ataxia, a debilitating neuromuscular condition. He spends most of his time in a wheelchair, and has been unemployable for several years. With the help of his son, Tyler, he manages to get out of his small apartment to attend church on Sundays and on a few other occasions. He lives very simply, doesn't complain, and is grateful for what he has.
In recent years, he's lost quite a few teeth, and is in the process of losing more, because he can't afford dental care. This results in a lot of discomfort and embarrassment. When he's in public, he doesn't talk to people as much as he used to because he's self-conscious.
Those who know Joe are aware of his gentle and grateful spirit. If you don't know him, be assured that this is a very worthy cause. Rockingham Christian Church stands ready to help him substantially with a contribution from its Benevolence Fund, but he'll need at least $3,500 more in order to get the extractions and upper dentures he needs for a much better quality of life. Any contribution, small or large, will be very much appreciated!
