Matt's Battle With Cancer

As many of you know, and for those of you who don't, Matt was dealt some difficult news and is currently in the middle of a battle with Osteosarcoma. He was told this relatively recently, and at 18 years old, he went from prom to treatment the week after. The Torgersen Family had planned to take this battle on their own as they are certainly not the ones to ask for help. I have been fortunate enough to become really close with Matt's older brother, Joe, over these last 4-5 years at work. From my experience dealing with Joe, he would never want to start something like this to fundraise for his family, and I can only assume his family feels the same way. That is just the type of people they are. Kind, always positive, and seem to bring such an element of happiness to everyone around them. I think they deserve some love in return. So, with his family's permission, a couple of us in the office wanted to do something to help. The family is expected to be out of pocket for $10-$15k per year of his two-year treatment. So while I know they would have found a way to get it done, the goal here is to provide some relief so they can spend time with each other and give Matt all the care he needs.
