7 years ago my brother-in-law came down with a mystery illness that caused him to be in and out of the hospital on a weekly basis. After numerous biopsies, scans, labs, and appointments with speciality doctors no one could figure out his diagnosis. He became transfusion dependent and suffered a great loss in his quality of life. He had to file for disability because he could not work. His wife, Barb, my sister had to stop working as well to become a full time caregiver, all while raising 3 amazing young boys. Just a week ago he had yet another biopsy which finally came back positive for Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), we are thankful to finally have  a diagnosis so we at least know where to start. He needs induction chemotherapy and a Stem Cell Transplant, which is extremely costly as he will be in the hospital for at least 6 weeks. Initiation of treatment is underway and time is of the essence.  If anyone is able to help, even just a dollar, it all adds up. Any help is greatly appreciated.
