Joe Weida and the Weida Family

As a former school secretary at Peculiar (MO) Elementary I spent many joyous years being a part of our little school and Joe Weida's life. His dad, Rob, was our school principal for 22 years and poured his heart and soul into the community and its' families. Joe is a Ray-Pec grad and mom, Kelley, was also an employee of the school district and Joe's brother Dan is also a RP grad.

A horrific accident on Saturday, October 26th has forever changed all of their lives. Joe was involved in an ATV accident while vacationing in Moab, UT which has left his legs paralyzed and with very little feeling in his upper body. He has undergone surgery to fuse 6 of his vertebrae so far.

Beginning now, and for their futures, the financial burden is going to be unimaginable. Medical costs along with long term care, finding suitable transportation and remodeling of their home to accommodate Joe's needs are just the beginning. Our prayer is that family, friends and communities, that the Weida family have been a part of, will find it in their hearts to donate to help to ease the financial burden that lies ahead for this family.
