Joe Wondra & Family - Life Saving Medical Support
Donation protected
Joe and Diana Wondra are continually giving of themselves to others, and now we have an opportunity to gather around them and help Joe fight for his life through ACUTE MYELOID LEUKEMIA.
Maybe you know Joe from the youth group he volunteers at through his church, or from a youth retreat he's chaperoned. He also plays drums on the worship team. Perhaps you've seen the creative and silly videos he's created just to bring people together and make people laugh. You might know Diana from Rockford School where she's a Para in the Special Education Program. Diana is also active on the worship team and the children's program at church. Maybe she's brought your family a meal, or met you for coffee to talk through your tough season. Joe and Diana also minister to grieving parents who have lost children, as they tragically lost their firstborn, Luke, 4 yrs ago to Myocarditis. Or, maybe you know the Wondra Family through their other 2 amazing kids, Isaac and Makenzie. Isaac is currently attending the U of M in Duluth, active in their campus Christian ministry, and recently went on a mission trip to South Asia. Makenzie is in her first year at Bethel University, sings in the Bethel Choir, and plans to major in Nursing. If you know Kenzie's kind heart that's full of compassion, you know she's going to make a great nurse! This is a family that is always giving to others! It breaks our hearts to know they're facing a big medical challenge.
However you might know the Wondra's, please consider gathering around them in prayer and financial support. With Joe's new health battles, come financial burdens we don't want them to bear. The path to healing is uncertain, but Joe will be in the hospital for a minimum of one month to begin with and have a significant amount of time not working after that. It's hard to imagine having to continue to try and pay your bills with less income while fighting to stay alive; plus 2 kids in college, and now with all the additional expenses associated with a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Please join us in helping to lift this burden for the Wondra Family. Thank you for gathering around them in prayer and financial support!
Here's a portion of Diana's post, as they began this new journey last week:
"We have put our trust in Jesus long ago. We know how closely He walks with those who are suffering. We experienced His faithfulness when we lost our precious son/brother Luke four years ago. We are going to continue to trust Him in this trial and know that He loves us, and He is good. Whether He chooses to physically heal Joe's earthly body or take him home to Heaven where he will be whole and healed, we just don't know. This is a scary time for us, lots of tears already. Please keep us all in your prayers.
Love,
Joe, Diana, Isaac, Kenzie, and Milly (our Boxer love)
2 Corinthians 4:8 ---Uncrushable
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 Light and momentary afflictions compared to a weight of glory"
