What's My Story?

I've worked hard over the last two years to teach myself the fundamentals of music production by watching YouTube tutorials, listening to podcasts, reading books and researching online.

I've worked with producers on my band tracks , pestered friends and bandmates who studied music, got a foot in the door of any studio session I could, and most importantly made music at home through trial and error.

The hard work is finally paying off as I've gathered enough experience to earn a place on the MA Commercial Music Producer course at Tileyard Studios in Kings Cross! 

I've also simultaneously built my own business as a musician - running open mic nights, playing guitar and vocal gigs, writing and playing with my band , engineering for other artists  and more.

It's been a long-held ambition of mine to work in music and last year I finally made it as a full-time musician- a great feeling and a result of my hard work, dedication, and the fulfilment that I’ve found from working at my passion.

Why Am I Fundraising My Fees?

As a self-employed musician, studying for a Master's can be an expensive undertaking. I will be applying for loans, grants and bursaries but I've also decided to try and raise as much as possible through crowdfunding.

At first I was hesitant to fundraise but I realised that I can make it as fun and interesting as possible for everyone involved with some 'milestone' projects- like writing and recording a music video with all of the donors up to £1000! Hopefully I can provide some entertainment for others and make some new friends along the way.

Why Support Me?

I host an open mic on Wednesdays at Northcote Records  in Clapham Junction, and Thursdays at the Prince of Peckham . Whatever instrument you play- come along, wow the crowd, have some fun and even receive a recording in Peckham of your performance for a small donation!

I’ll also be sharing my campaign on social media and planning 'rewards' as each milestone is beaten.

How Much Do I Need?

Although the course fees are £10.9k, I don't expect to raise all of this through fundraising. I'm still going to set the bar high and any amount I can raise will be invaluable to my studies.
