Expenses for Joe Frazer
Donation protected
Joe was born at McCoy Air Force Base in Orlando, Florida, where he would grow up and later meet the love of his life. Ann "Michelle" Douggins was born in Highpoint, NC, and then moved to Orlando, Florida, at age five. Her family just so happened to move into the same neighborhood as Joe and his family. They were best friends from the start and it was love at first sight. Joe was 16 and Michelle was 15 when they started officially dating through high school and there after. After seven years together, they married on 10/10/1987. Joe and Michelle would later on welcome their first son Donald, followed by younger son/brother, Derrick. After some time our family moved to Inverness, we enjoyed many more memories. Joe and Michelle celebrated their twenty-eighth wedding anniversary last year.
Not sure that there is a right or wrong way to ask for help in a time like this, but we are going to try our best.
Our family said goodbye to an incredible husband, brother, and father early Monday morning June 20th. Although he is not here with us on this earth any longer, we know he will never be far from our hearts. This has been a very grueling, traumatic experience filled with roller coasters of diagnoses and emotions, countless doctors/hospital visits, rounds of chemotherapy/radiation, and many sleepless nights of contemplating what method of treatment would be the most effective and comfortable. We soon would realize that there is no option of comfort when dealing with something as horrible as cancer.
Joe was officially diagnosed with Thyroid cancer and Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He fought hard and stubborn, in true Joe fashion, for 19 months. He may have lost his life, but he did not lose the battle. Our family now has a personal guardian angel to watch over and protect us from the pain of this world that he is now free from. Our family takes great peace and comfort in knowing that our guardian angel is now pain free and living the life he was no longer able to live here at our temporary home on this earth.
We are asking for donations to help cover the accumulated medical expenses over these last 19+ months. Anything that can be donated is so greatly appreciated and will be used to repay the caring healthcare professionals that have assisted us through this difficult time. Joe did specifically request that if donations of flowers wanted to be made that the money be spent on something that would help provide for his families needs.
Thank you all very much for your love and support. We are all so appreciative and thankful.
