Joel Burdette - Coopers Rock Disc Golf Course

My name is Nick Buysse, Vice President of the Morgantown Mountain Goats Disc Golf Club, and I have been in charge of the construction and installation of the Coopers Rock Disc Golf Course.

Joel Burdette passed away on October 6th from an accident at his home. Joel was a great friend of mine and one of the most dedicated volunteer workers I have ever worked with. He rarely ever missed an opportunity to help with the construction and installation of what the course is today. Joel has actual blood, sweat, and tears on every single hole on the back 9 of the course. He racked up countless volunteer hours dragging brush, limbs, logs, and sections of trees that were cut by chainsaw. His contributions were so large that he was recently voted into the Board of Directors for the Morgantown Mountain Goats Disc Golf Club.

Joel's family has requested that anyone interested in making a donation to please consider a contribution to help finish Joel's mission of building his disc golf course at Coopers Rock State Forest.

On behalf of the Morgantown Mountain Goats Disc Golf Club...I will personally make sure these donations go directly to the construction and installation of new tee pads, at least 1 memorial bench and any additional funds will go towards improving the Coopers Rock Disc Golf Course.
