Joel Zemenick Memorial Fund

Joel Zemenick tragically passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022 in Half Moon Bay. We've started this fundraiser to help pay for Joel’s funeral costs and to support his beloved wife Andi and Joel's crew at JZ Surfboards at this incredibly difficult time.

Joel was a fixture in this northern California community and was beloved by countless people, many who were clients and all of whom counted him as a friend. Frequently called a "legend," he was widely known throughout the California coastal and surfing community for his infectious and constant smile, his warmth and generosity of spirit, and his deep kindness of spirit and heart. He was the owner/shaper of JZ Surfboards where he inspired many with his talent and artistry in creating custom surfboards.

Joel’s sudden death has left the hearts of his family shattered. He leaves behind Andi and her son Colin; his sister Amy; his mother Jan (husband Larry); and his father John (stepmother Mindy), along with their extended families.

Donations will help the JZ Surfboards crew honor Joel's legacy at his factory and help Andi through this transition to navigating life without her husband and best friend. Any donations in Joel’s memory are deeply appreciated and will honor his legacy and a life deeply and purposefully lived.
