Fund The Fight Against Racism
Tax deductible
As I watched Ahmaud Arbery stumble sideways and fall dead I couldn't help but wonder why, even if the reason was clear.
The black community has been at the receiving end of overt, implicit, and systemic racism as far back as can be remembered.
Look back 20 years and you see Rodney King; 50 years and you see Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.; 200 years and you see slavery.
Even today, daily instances of injustice, from micro-aggressions to murders, are taking place before our very eyes. On May 25th George Floyd was murdered in broad daylight by the police.
The pace of progress needs a faster cadence and we can help by empowering those who can bring about change.
Will you help us?
On Juneteenth a group of us will raise funds for the Equal Justice Initiative, an organization focused on challenging racial and economic injustice.
Please consider giving generously.
Fundraisers:
• Joel Patrick and Gabby Patrick will cycle 155km (96mi)
• Sean Carlton will run a half marathon
• Josh Ramsey will run a half marathon
• Trvor Kay will cycle
