USPS Postal Worker Killed While Delivering Mail

Joel Perales, a 30 year employee of the East Los Angeles US Postal Service, who loved his job and who graciously picked up an extra shift on his day off due to the holidays, was hit by a car and killed today near the intersections of Eastern and Atlantic in the City of Commerce while near his postal truck.  He is survived by his beloved wife Virginia, Sons and Daughter, Herman, Benjamin, Angelica, Joey and Timothy, and countless brothers and sisters, daughters-in-laws, soon to be son-in-law, grandchildren and many loved ones from his congregation where he served as their Pastor at Templo de Alabanza, (Praise Chapel), in La Mirada for many many years.  Through his church where he was a beloved Pastor, he was able to preach the word of the lord and touch the hearts and souls of many that sought his preachings, love, friendship, guidance, and unwavering support.  He will be greatly missed by many.  Last but not least, he was a die hard Dodger fan!  

We the family would like to take this time to remind everyone out there to drive safe, observe the speed limit, and avoid accidents like these that just destroy families and loved ones.

With your generous donations,  we hope to assist the family with memorial services which are definitely unplanned for as eventhough Joel was only 58, he was still full of life, healthy and looking to live on for many more years to come.  He was taken early from his loved ones and every little bit will help in these troubling times.
