Hurricane Harvey Help Needed!
Donation protected
Update: I spoke with Joel today. He said someone has generously donated their rental property in downtown Houston for them to stay at until December. He will likely not be able to return to his home for about 2 weeks to see what damage he needs to deal with. He has full coverage on his cars and the insurance company is working on finding a rental for him but they are tough to come by. The home does not have flood insurance of any type so he will need to deal with that on his own. He said when he was evacuated the water was up to the 2nd step of his upper level stairway so there will be considerable damage. He gave me the address of his new temporary home and I told him and his wife to make a list of items they may need and send it to me. They really only left with a small bag of items so may need some things. We are so close the the $5000 mark so I increase our goal in an effort to give more help. He is super appreciative of all the support!
One of my co-workers, Joel Robinson, and his family are currently displaced from their home (pictured), rescued by boat on Tuesday. As you can see they have tragically been hit hard by hurricane Harvey. We are asking for donations, big or small, to help them get back on their feet. My generous employer, QDI, has offered to match donations up to $5000. Please help us support our good friend and co-worker in his time of need! A bit about Joel- Joel and his lovely wife live in Katy, Tx and have a son attending college in Louisiana. He shares their home with his mother in-law and supports her after she started having health issues. He's been a great employee for Quality Distributors for many years. He's very dedicated and actually called to ask about taking paid time off as his house was flooding. Prior to the storm he drove to our local Houston location to try and minimize damage at our office. He's a great team player. Please help us help Joel!!
