Joel’s wheelchair
Donation protected
Hello
my son joel is a bilateral leg amputee as a result of meningococcal septicaemia when he was 8 months old.
He is now 17 and is currently studying at his lakefield equestrian centre,
he currently he a bog standard nhs wheelchair which isn’t practical for him due to the nature of his course, unfortunately we cannot get an all terrain wheelchair from the nhs as he is only entitled to a regular one.
joel is a very determined individual who doesn’t let anything hold him back and has a very positive outlook on life.
i am desperately trying to source an all terrain wheelchair that will be suitable for him to fulfill his potential. Not only would an all terrain wheelchair help him with his course, it will also enable him to be included in everyday things we take for granted in his everyday life, he finds it he’d to go to the beach as his current wheelchair sinks into the sand, he’s unable to go on the grass as the traction is poor,
we would be grateful if you could donate towards this.
thankyou for reading.
