Joe MacAvoy Memorial Fund

My name is Lauren Hickey and I am the Cousin of Gina Casano MacAvoy, who is the Wife of our Beloved Joe MacAvoy. Joe is a Father of 4 Wonderful boys- Jimmy, Billy, Joey, Ryan, two have already graduated and the two youngest are still in Highschool. Big Joe was also a great Brother and a awesome Uncle as well. We will all miss him so dearly and he will be forever in our hearts and minds. Words cannot begin to describe what my family is going through. We need all the prayers we can recieve to get through this tragedy.

I want to describe Joe if you dont know him personally. He has the best personality, he could make anybody laugh. He was loud and obnoxious..and he loved football, but, Hey that was big Joe! He was one of a kind, and probably the biggest REDSKINS fan ever known to mankind. If you got him really riled up he would even take his leg off and wave it around! He had a awesome sense of humor and he never let being an amputee bring him down. If anything it made him who he was and everybody that knew him, knows that he was one funny character. He will truly be missed though. I've added some photos to the page and if anyone would like to send any others I could add more.

Now, we all know horrible tragic incidents occur and we are never prepared for it, especially in this economy today. However, if you could find it within your heart my family is in need of your help and all of the collected funds will go towards funeral costs, any medical, work leave, or other related expenses to help the family cope with this unforseen tragic loss.
