Fighting with 101

Donation protected
Dear friends and family, The fight against cancer goes on. Cancer affects so many and, unfortunately another first responder in our City has been diagnosed. The City of Rensselaer Police Officers Union is hoping that you may consider helping one of our own. Officer Joe Terry has been serving this City since 2001 and was born and raised in the City of Rensselaer.
As many of you know, Joe had a successful kidney transplant in January 2017. Unfortunately, in October 2022 Joe was diagnosed with stage 3 throat cancer. He has just completed seven weeks of chemotherapy and radiation treatments of which, some chemotherapy treatments were canceled due to unhealthy elevation to his kidney numbers. He won’t know for at least twelve weeks if he is cancer free. Joe still has a long road to recovery.
As we all know, cancer doesn’t just impact the person diagnosed but everyone around him. Joe and his wife Alison have a lot on their plate and this unexpected hit just added so much more. This Go Fund Me is set up to help with Joe’s medical bills and other expenses that are going to pile up over time. All donations are greatly appreciated and will take a huge weight off of Joe and Alison’s shoulders.

Thank you Rensselaer City Police Officers Union
