Joey Boettcher’s Broken Neck Fund
Donation protected
If you are lucky enough to know Joey, you probably agree that she is one of the kindest people around. You probably also know that she takes “bad luck” to a whole new level.
On September 22nd Joey was at a barrel race headed for second barrel when “her horse zigged, and she zagged” sending her head first into a wall.
Joey is currently in Foothills Hospital with numerous broken and fractured vertebra in her neck. A Halo was installed on September 23rd, and she will need to wear the halo for 3 months. Joey will be off work and basically immobile for a minimum of 3 months without employer benefits as she is currently working as a substitute teacher in the Olds area, and who knows how long it will take her to feel well enough to teach again.
We can all imagine the stress and pain coming her way in the coming months, and I’m hoping we can all work together to take care of one of our own, and lift some of this weight off of her shoulders.
Every little bit helps, and I can promise you that every little bit will be appreciated!
