Joey Cobb Jr

My name is Tiffany Cobb and i am starting this gofundme for my brother Joey Cobb Jr. He was in a MVA on Mother's Day and was airlifted to Augusta University where he remains in critical condition. His heart stopped 4 times on the day of the accident. He has undergone 3 surgeries so far to stop internal bleeding and they were all successful. We was informed on Monday that every bone in his body is broken except for his skull. His left arm and left leg are crushed. We are hoping to have his hip and pelvic surgery on Sunday to reattach his pelvic back to his spine. Mom spoke with the doctor regarding his facial reconstruction and that will be scheduled at a later time. Right now they are not concerned with the broken bones because they can always go in and fix those. His lungs are still really bruised so they want to give them time to heal. On a brighter note, he has been responding to commands the past 2 days. He has opened his eyes by himself a few times, gives the nurses a thumbs up and even nods his head. They placed a feeding tube in on Tuesday. Joey has a long road ahead of him. If you know him at all you know he will give the shirt off his back if you needed it. He is a very independent man with 2 beautiful daughters of his own and a 3 year old little boy that he has helped raise for the past 2 1/2 years. He will be out of work for a long time and any donation will greatly be appreciated. The money will go directly to his mother, Dori Daniels. She will use it to make sure his daughters are taken care of, his bills are paid and to help with food, gas and motels for when she or his dad are there with him. He has insurance but will have some out of pocket responsibility as well. After he gets out of the hospital, he will need home health care and DME which his insurance does not cover. We appreciate all the love, support and prayers that everyone has been giving. God definitely has his hands on Joey. I will be going to see him in the morning and will post a update.
