Joey Furtado

Hello Everyone, we are reaching out at this time to request support for the family of Joey Furtado. Joey worked on many Bird projects over the years, off and on, and no matter where he was he brought smiles and laughs to the crew. Joey struggled with heart disease and diabetes, leaving our 2 Nations Bird @ BHP Jansen, Sk crew last rotation to seek medical attention and unfortunately succumbing to his disease November 26, 2023. Joey had a heart of gold, he lost his father to heart disease at an early age and just recently his mother, after taking on her care for many years, but most recently he spent his days keeping the 2NB Fine Tailing Crews in good spirits with his jokes, laughs and great personality. Joey is survived by his teenage daughter and sister, and will live on in many of the Bird work families heart for years to come. ❤
