Joseph "Joey" Terrance Morgan was a fixture of light in both the Morgan/Borrasso family and our Management by Morgan (aka MbM) family, a youth actor development & talent management team that has helped Joey and hundreds of others kickstart their careers. Named as one of Tribeca's 2017 Breakout Talents, Joey's passion for acting led him to book multiple guest, supporting, & lead roles in several Hollywood episodics & films, making him a constant inspiration for filmmakers to this day.

As said by one of his oldest friends, Joey was such a kind spirit, he would give every ounce of himself to help someone else and always put the needs of those he cared about above his own. One of Joey's great passions was the Management by Morgan Film Camps, which provides youth actors (as young as 6 years old) with the opportunities to write, build, and act in their own short films. Many of these films have been and will continue to be submitted to multiple film festivals for a broader audience to see the work of creative youth talent. These films get submitted to festivals each year and have consistently been accepted to many top festivals & often even have won audience award praise. Under Joey's direction, many of his camps' films have been accepted & placed or won at multiple film festivals. And in line with Joey’s constant attitude of giving, he has even appeared in some of these kids' films when they asked him to, despite his amazing industry success. His efforts have garnered amazing recognition for what he did with these young actors and even received recognition from international festivals such as the prestigious Julien Dubuque International Film Festival (JDIFF) in the Future Filmmakers category. Two such JDIFF films he directed and coached the kids on include GAME ON and LITTLE LAMBS.

After consistently guiding his campers to produce festival-placing work year after year, in addition to his own career success, it is only right that we honor Joey's memory through our film camps. Your donations to The Joey Morgan Memorial Foundation, which was created to carry on Joey's legacy, will provide film camp scholarships to those who otherwise would not be able to participate in these phenomenal experiences due to economic hardships or other extenuating circumstances. Upon the successful completion of this GoFundMe campaign, we will establish a permanent non-profit foundation that will be affiliated with the Players Philanthropy Foundation.

Joey truly embraced teaching these young actors and helping them learn and grow to embrace their craft. It was always about them and not himself as he always had that heart of gold and supporting and loving and helping mentality in everything he did.

Saying thank you cannot even begin to express our gratitude for everyone's involvement in creating and building this wonderful opportunity for our talented MbMers. Here is a breakdown of how your donations will be put to work:

$2400 provides a full scholarship to 1 youth filmmaker to attend 1 full week of camp.
$1200 provides a half scholarship to 1 youth filmmaker to attend 1 full week of camp.

This includes all fees that go into production from camp directors and assistants, food, location rentals, equipment rentals, props, set deck, wardrobe, editing, and a professional showcase at a top-of-the-line theater venue where all the films are shown on the big screen for all the kids and their families to attend. The goal is always to make it a full-on filming experience where all actors participate in every step of the process and do it all within one week, and no one did it better than Joey.
