Please family and friends, our nephew Joey, Lisa and Jay Peart’s son, could use all the prayers and good intentions you have, sent his way.

He was involved in an accident late Friday evening. He was on his motorcycle and was broadsided at the intersection of Thomas Hickey Dr. and Essington (Plainfield - Joliet, IL area). His angels were definitely there for him! He said there were people that stopped to comfort him and hold his hand, we so wish we could thank you , whomever you are!

He was airlifted to Loyola Med Center. His left femur was broken and his femoral artery was damaged and repaired in surgery. He has a broken clavicle and a shattered right elbow. He also has 3 or 4 fractured lower vertebrae, along with some broken ribs. They are doing another surgery Tuesday (5/30/23), this one on his elbow. He is in ICU and on blood thinners because of blood clots in lower leg and lower back.

Joey is a welder by profession. Needless to say he will be unable to continue at his job for several months and we are asking for your help. His road to recovery will be very long. Our family appreciates anything you could do to help.
