Donate to help Joey Romero fight cancer

As many of you know, my brother-in-law, Joey Romero, recently underwent a 9-hour emergency surgery to remove a painful, cancerous brain tumor. He bounced back with new life and a grateful spirit. We now have more information regarding the type of tumor, and he has been diagnosed with Oligodendroglioma. The treatment needed to fight this cancer will be intense. Leslie and Joey have elected to travel to Houston, Texas to receive care at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. Joey will begin proton therapy (radiation) every day for six weeks. Following this, he will need to receive chemotherapy for approximately 8 months to hopefully stop this aggressive tumor from returning. This is very serious, but the Romero family is strong and ready to fight this battle. We are asking that you find it in your heart to help this amazing family take on this challenge. Medical bills are going to be overwhelming and the travel and lodging required to receive the care needed in Houston will be extensive. We also want to make sure that the Romero boys are taken care of while Leslie and Joey travel. Joey has spent his entire life volunteering his time and passion, for hundreds of baseball players and teams. It is not in his nature to ask for help, but I know that this is the time that we can help return the love he has given to us.
