Joey Wardlaw Memorial Fund

I am Joey Wardlaw's Aunt Didi. My nephew Joey died unexpectedly last Friday, March 10, at age 24 and leaves behind his partner of many years, Shanice Cooper. My sister and I have started this campaign to help Shanice, who is suddenly left with expenses she was not expecting to deal with on her own. She needs help starting over, finding a new place to live closer to family and friends whose support she truly needs at this time. I am hoping to collect enough to cover a deposit, first and last month's rent, moving expenses, and a little help getting resettled on her own. Shanice's love and constancy made my nephew's last years happier than he could ever have imagined.  We think helping her at this time is what he would want us to do. So in lieu of flowers we invite you to help us help Shanice, in memory of our beloved Joey.
