Financial Gestures 4 the Sylvesters

Donation protected
On Sunday, November 30, my sister Beth was rushed to the hospital because her blood pressure was dangerously high and her health and that of her unborn daughter were at risk.  We were all terrified because Beth was 28 weeks pregnant. She had been fighting high BP that past week and was being heavily monitored. UnfortunateIy, to save Beth's life, the doctors determined that inducing labor was the only option.

Over forty people waited anxiously for news concerning Beth's health and that of her baby. We were so relieved to find out that they "survived" and Abigail was born weighing 2.6 lbs. and measuring 14 inches "tall." As tiny as she was, we all fell in love with her instantly!

Words cannot express the emotions our entire family felt as we waited to hear any news.  For ten years, my sister and her husband have tried to conceive and were unsuccessful.  Needless to say, as the years progressed, they became increasingly more discouraged and disappointed.

Then, early summer, they proudly, but privately announced they were pregnant. Initially, we didn't believe them, especially after all this time and with neg. reports from the doctors. However, we soon began to love this baby as much as her mom and dad.

Ms. Abigail did well her first day or so, but was then airlifted to a local children's hospital over 60 miles away because of her breathing. The new facility can better care for her and the issues related to premature births. Although scary, Baby Abigail is stable and improving daily.

As you might guess, Abigail has a long road ahead, but we are putting our faith in God and believing she will be ok. We know that she has an army of prayer warriors lifting her up in prayers.

As you can imagine, Beth and Joey Sylvester are going to be facing some financial burdens as they make changes so that they can be with Abigail daily.  Joey has already taken a hit with time off and Beth will be missing quite a bit more work than the average maternity leave. Also, the baby is over an hour a way from her home, so gas expenses are going to increase expotentially once Joey returns to work.

Finally, both Beth and Joey have dedicated many years serving God through their work with local church youth groups,  peer groups, etc. They truly have had hearts for serving others and for missions. Now, I would like your help in serving them by raising money to help ease any current and future financial burdens.

I thank you in advanced for any amount you can donate. I realize it is the holiday season and that everyone is feeling the stress of the season. If you are not able, please know that your prayers are far more important and very much appreciated.

Sincerely,
Pamela
