Johanna and Roger Jones

My name is Jacque Jones and with a humble heart and a head bowed down, I present to you a dilemma of a magnitude I have never faced. Many of you know my parents, Roger and Johanna Jones, their many stories, their wisdom, and they're giving hearts that they have shared with family, friends and the community. Their volunteer work with the UF/IFAS Master Gardeners of Sumter County, the well-being of our community and our Nation as members of the Sumter County Republican club. They are also involved with the local Ham Radio club as well as the Historical Society of Sumter county. And let's not forget to make homemade ice cream for friends and events in Sumter County and beyond. They have both been of maximum service to their communities in Ohio and Florida all of their lives. My mother, Johanna, has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Specifically, stage 4

incurable, inoperable glioblastoma.

She will be receiving radiation and chemotherapy in Tampa, an hour away. Also, my Dad has health issues, mainly his knees. The expenses are enormous as you all well know. Above all, we are a family of generations of farmers. We are caretakers of the land. They struggle with the sudden unexpected costs of medications, transportation, and doctors. To quote Paul Harvey from a speech he gave to the Future Farmers of America in 1978. " So God made a Farmer." And on the 8th day, God looked down on his planned paradise and said, I need a caretaker, so God made a farmer. With humble thanks, The Farmer's daughter Jacque.

I wanted to give an update on my Mother, Johanna's condition. She is in the ICU step-down unit at Advent Health in Tampa. She suffered another seizure and is recovering. Her team of doctors recommends she be transferred to a skilled nursing facility sometime next week. Your donations and many prayers are helping make this transition as comfortable as possible for her . My gratitude is timeless; with a grateful heart, I thank You.
