Johanna’s girls

Johanna Lee Exner was 32 years old with a beautiful family. Jo and her loving husband Mark have 2 beautiful girlsKelsey 3 years old and little “bean” Colleen 15 months old. On July 8 Jo was having breakfast with the girls and began to feel ill.  She was taken to the hospital where they found she had a hemorrhagic stroke and performed a craniotomy and relieved the pressure on the brain. Jo made wonderful progress taking, even walking a bit. We were so encouraged that Jo would make a full recovery only to get the news that she had a very rare cancer called chorio carcinoma.  Although a highly curable cancer, it had already metastasized to her liver, lungs and brain.  Doctors were still hopeful and stared an aggressive form of chemo on Monday and Tuesday.  Jo was ready to fight!  She had her 2 babies whom she adored!  The doctors discharged her Wednesday July 17 and she was so happy to be at home with Mark and her girls .  She and Kelsey snuggled and read book (a favorite activity for Kelsey). Bean and Kelsey were happy to have mommy home. On Thursday July 18 Jo experienced difficulties with her breathing, she was taken to the hospital and passed away from a complication of the cancer.  

Mark and and the girls, who live in Texas have a very long, hard road ahead of them.  We are starting this fund for Kelsey and Colleen’s futures.  We are hoping to raise money to help take the burden off of Mark!  Education was so important to Jo and we want to try to help be sure Kelsey and Colleen get that education.  Johanna was a gift to all who knew her! She was an amazing mother and as Kelsey said “she’s my favorite adult”❤️  Thank you for all your love and support ❌⭕️
