Johanna Bronk Canvassing fundraiser

Dear all,

It is with gratitude that I ask for your support as I embark on a 6 week journey organizing and registering voters, canvassing for progressive candidates and referenda, and training canvassers in key swing states, Nevada and Arizona.

A political and community organizer of 20 years, I have engaged diverse communities in over two dozen political campaigns and community-building initiatives.

Because progressive wins are of paramount importance this race, I am dedicating the next 6 weeks to full time work canvassing, voter registration, ballot curing, and leading and organizing others in collaboration with the DNC, voter registration nonprofits, and other on the ground community engagement organizations.

I am lucky to have some flexibility in my schedule as a freelance musician and project-based organizer to be able to take time to commit fully to political engagement for a month and a half.

And, since I will be taking a large chunk of time off from paid work, I am fundraising to cover my expenses and a basic income for this period.

I will be working full time for 6 weeks (including after the elections close, as needed, for ballot curing, other administrative help) and am raising $8,000 to cover expenses— transportation, housing, food, cost of printing voter engagement materials, and a stipend for that time.

In the event I surpass my goal (!), I will contribute the remainder to the Movement Voter Project (movement.vote), which directs money to targeted voter engagement organizations in swing states for change-making up and down the ballot (national and local issues).

In addition to canvassing and phone banking, I am connected with orgs that need people to cut turf (make get out the vote canvassing maps), have positions for high level programmers, and more.

To anyone able to contribute $500 or more I would love to offer a voice lesson, remotely or in person.

If anyone is able to give extra generously, for $8,000, I will happily speak with you about my producing and performing a thank-you chamber music concert.
