John & Emma’s IVF Journey
Donation protected
Friends and family,
John and I got married in November 2015 and started trying to grow our family the following month in December 2015. We tried naturally for a year and then sought out help through our doctors in hopes to get pregnant, or at least get some answers as to why we weren’t. While John's tests thankfully came back normal, I had an HSG done in December 2016. It showed proximal blockage in my left Fallopian tube. My doctor wasn’t too concerned at first and told us to stay encouraged. But after another year of trying, we were still broken-hearted and empty-handed.
After a recent doctor's appointment, medicated cycles, and a diagnosis of “unexplained infertility”, we were told our next step is IVF. We have since moved forward in making our first appointment with Institute for Reproductive Health.
Asking for help is one of the last things we wanted to do, but the more we talked about it, the more we realized God gave us our community for a reason. We need to let our community love on us and help us, whether that is financially or through prayer.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. It isn’t a fun one, but it’s real and unfortunately the situation we are in. We aren’t giving up until we have a baby in our arms and win this fight. We are so thankful for everyone who has chosen to help us through our journey of becoming a family!
