John & Jenny Klassen Fire Relief

On August 2nd a lightning strike started a forest fire near John & Jenny's home in Telegraph Creek, BC. After a stressful week full of hope and discouragement, as well as a huge amount of effort from firefighters and locals, our parents lost their house & home of 40 years. 

I can't write this without crying. This place was so much more than a their home. It was their blood, sweat and tears. They have put absolutely everything into their life there. They found, staked, and cleared the 5 acres of land, and built absolutely everything from the ground up with their own hands. They have spent the better part of their lives there, turning it into the beautiful property that it was, and touching the lives of so many. 

The sadness of their loss is truly overwhelming, and although we are just happy they are ok, the very least we'd like to do is support them in any way we can during this extremely difficult time, like they would for all of us. 

Due to the remote location of Telegraph Creek, fire insurance is unavailable. Every contribution helps, big or small, and is enormously appreciated as they move forward rebuilding their life, and home.
