John and Jackie's stroke journey

Hi my name is Nathan Romeyn. I am John and Jackies son. In the past year, my dad has had 3 strokes. The first 2 caused some visual issues and short term memory loss. Atfer the second stroke, just a month ago, the ahort term memory issues began to cause oroblens for John at work. He is a funeral director and his paperwork must be meticulous as there are no room for errors. Due to these issues, john was placed on medical leave. Only 2 weeks into his medical leave, he suffered another, more significant stroke leaving him with partial paralysis of his left side. He has been in peace arch hospital for the past 2 weeks. Now that everything medically has been done, i just a few days he will be transfered to a rehabilitation facility for 1 ro 3 months.

His prognosis is unknown at this time but what is know is that his memory loss is permanent. This could have some serious implications going forward.

As many of you know, Dad had substantial addiction issues for close ro 20 years so he got a very late start in preparing for retirement. The added expenses and with only john working , this is a major set back for them.

I am asking anyone who is able to help them out, not just financially but also to pray for them as you can imagine, this whole issue has caused a lot of fear and anxiety.
