John and Jacky Lalik

Jacky and John Lalik were high school sweethearts.  Married for 52 years, they were each other's best friend.  On Friday November 15, their lives were ripped apart by a tragic house fire that took the life of John and left Jacky with nothing.  No husband, no pets, no house and only her nightgown and one slipper.  Jacky was able to climb out of her bedroom window and suffered smoke/chemical burns to her esophagus and mouth.  She is being cared for by a wonderful staff at SUNY Upstate and is surrounded by family and friends.   The pain that she is going through with the  loss of John and her pets and home is indescribable.  The love and caring of her family and friends is much needed but there are other practical matter that also need to be addressed.  This is where this Go Fund Me comes in.   A lot of people in the wonderful caring communities of Fair Haven, Red Creek and surrounding areas are asking how they can help.  This is why we have started this fund.  If you can find it in your heart to donate to this cause, it will be so appreciated.  Money will never replaced what Jacky has lost, but will help her when she starts rebuilding her life.  I thank you in advance.
