John (Bubba) Griffin House Fire

Hey everyone, my name is Unique Griffin and I am setting up this GoFundme in efforts to support my father, John Griffin (commonly referred to as Bubba or Bub).
On March 22nd, 2023 his house located in
Washington DC was burned down. My father is by far the most supportive person that I know; he continuously strives to offer those around him and beyond a helping hand when in need. He has so much love and pride in his community, constantly serving as a key component when it comes to community events and activities.
It is his generosity and selflessness that has him in his current position. This house has been in our family for decades and once relatives reached out in need of a place to stay, he did not hesitate to offer up his space. Inadvertently, the fire was started while my dad was asleep.
We are all so grateful that he was shielded by God during this traumatic event and left unharmed. Unfortunately, all of his belongings are gone. This includes a lifetime’s worth of pictures, savings, clothing, and more. Let this be a reminder not to idolize things of monetary value, as we can see these things could be taken away in a second without any of your control. He is now left with no place to permanently live as it will take months or even a year for his home to be fully repaired.
In conclusion, I am humbly asking you all to please give whatever it is that you can to my dad as he is left with only a few things in which he was able to save. Thank you so much, I appreciate you all! Much love, Unique
