John Celestus knee surgery and recovery.

This story truly is a greek tragedy...
Our beloved John Celestus unfortunately had an accident a few months back, leaving him with an injury that is a performer/ teachers most devastating nightmare. The accident happened during an egg and spoon race, the bizarre things we do for the cabaret stage but ironically this happened at a party for good leisure.
John has dislocated his knee, complelty raptured his ACL and meniscus and partially raptured all of his other ligaments and joint damage. Leaving him no choice to get a full knee reconstruction, and if he wants to return to his passion/ lively hood/ career his surgery needs to be done by an athlete specialist. His surgery will happen in Athens and John will be in recovery for three months with absolutely no work or income coming in. After three months he can slowly start moving again, inviting small doses of work back into his life along side athlete physiotherapy for one whole year.
Medical expenses, physio, bills, traveling for surgery, whilst still paying rent back in UK, AND all of this in a cost of living crisis. My heart aches for him. Can you imagine?!! It's hard enough being a full time performer as it is and sadly equity wont be able to help cover john as the accident happened during non work related hours.
If friends, family and creatures of cabaret could unite and donate as little or as much to help support our beautiful boy. To feed and nourish him through recovery and help him finically / physically through this challenging year ahead.
After doing the math John needs to find £6,000, which is a hella amount of money, but think of how many people are in the circuit. We have performers, producers, fans, bar staff, friends, audience members, neighbours and uno EVERYONE who we ever so kindly share this story with. John has touched so many hearts on and off stage. A performer with so much love, passion and talent who needs our help. And every little will help.
If 1200 people donate just £5 then john will comfortably be able to recover stress free, pay then medical bills and survive his year being out of work. Even just donating £2 we could help feed him, and put towards bills and physio. Every little truly will help and between us all am sure we can help allot.
Thank you for reading and thank you so much for your donations!
Together we can help our beloved John.
We love you and we will get you through this!!
Lots of Love
From your cabaret and burlesque family.
