John Bogie - Memorial Donations to MCC Foundation
John Edward Bogie passed away peacefully at Gloucester Royal Hospital on 7th November 2024 aged 86 years.
Much loved husband of Anne and beloved father to Robert and Lara.
John was a former headmaster of Prior Park Preparatory School, and a former teacher at St Brendan’s (Bristol), St John’s Beaumont (Windsor) and the Old Vicarage School (Derby). A force of nature, dedicated family man and a brilliant schoolmaster – he had an impact on many lives and will be greatly missed by his family, friends and pupils.
John was a longstanding member of the MCC and a lifetime devotee of cricket. Donations, in memory of John, to the MCC Foundation may be made here or through the funeral service collection.
The MCC Foundation is the charitable arm of the Marylebone Cricket Club. Their mission is to transform lives through cricket. They deliver projects across the UK and around the world, providing free coaching and match play to young people from under-served communities, empowering boys and girls to reach their full potential in the game.
