John Fisher Memorial Buoy

On 26th March 2018 we tragically lost John to the Southern Ocean. Thanks to the kind donations collected at his memorial in July 2018 we were able to arrange for a racing mark bearing his name to be placed in the Solent. For the 2020 season the the mark was generously funded by a private donation.
We would now like to ensure the future of John's Buoy in the Solent and having approached Cowes Week Ltd who managed the marks been advised that the cost will be around £1200 per year (with the potential of a few free years if we can fund 8+ years up front).
We are therefore hoping that John's friends and sailing family will want to help us raise enough money to keep this memorial to him for as long as possible.
As John’s sister I will be taking responsibility for all donations that are made and the money raised will be kept in a account in my name and used to pay Cowes Week Ltd when they invoice us for the placement of the buoy.
