JOHN FRY’S TRAUMATIC FARM ACCIDENT
Hi my name is Lisa Stalter. My husband, Marvin (Doc), and I have been friends with JOHN FRY and KIM as long as we can remember. This go fund me is to help an EXTRAORDINARY man and his wife. They work from sun up to way past sundown taking care of their home, farm, community and always what comes first, their LOVE FOR JESUS. July 27, 2021 changed everything for John & Kim. Below are Kim’s words about the accident that has rocked their world!
”After much time to think about the current situation at hand, we’ve decided to share our journey. 4 days ago my husband was in a traumatic accident. He was putting up a grain bin system at our shop. Fast forward to the part where the bin broke free from the crane knocking me off the ladder and pinning him underneath. HE was able to rock it back and forth enough to free his arm which was shattered and losing large amounts of blood. And then HE kept rocking back and forth using everything he had left to get his lower half released. I was able to tie off his arm to help from losing more blood and called for help. I was able to get him up and drag him to the barn 25’ away (I say it was him ... he says it was me.) He ended up being life flighted.
And then comes the GOD part ...
had it happened 10-15 minutes earlier, his sister, great nieces and “Uncle Bob” as we call him, would have been there. God only knows what could have happened. But WHY was I spared of any injuries from a fall off of a 12’ ladder landing on a concrete pad? I’m bruised but not broken yet my husband sustained life threatening injuries. He has a long road ahead of him and is not out of the woods yet, but if any of you know him at all, you know he is made of grit and determination which is why he is still with us today. I say all of this because the messages, texts and phone calls are overwhelming and some people truly care and are concerned. All I’m asking for is prayer. So please, when he comes to mind please pray. And if you don’t know his name it’s John. Please pray for John! God knows the details. We serve an amazing God and HE is who I am leaning on because quite honestly HE is all I have left. UPDATE: he is currently in ICU in Ft Wayne. Hip, pelvic and left arm shattered. Several spine fractures. He can’t put any weight on himself. Left arm is shattered as well. Working on internal damage.”
***AS OF TODAY, John is in extensive rehab at Montpelier rehab. They continue to fight various challenges from John’s internal injuries. With the strict covid 2 visitor policy John can only have 2 family visitors. Please feel free to send him cards and/or texts to let him know GOD has a plan for him and to FIGHT like crazy.
