John Gallagher & the Gallagher family

My name is Kari Anne, and I'm raising money for my uncle John Gallagher and his family. I think of John as the fun, goofy uncle who always had me laughing. John and his wife Jenn are some of the kindest people I've ever had the pleasure to meet. John has been struggling with chronic Pancreatitis for a long time. In 2018, John was in the hospital for an acute Pancreatitis flare that scared everyone in the family. He was hospitalized again later in the year for a cyst to be drained and later to be removed. In November, Jenn found out she was pregnant with baby Piper. In February 2019, they moved back to Texas, and John's health was doing better. Baby Piper was born in June 2019. His health took a turn in 2020 when his Pancreatitis flared up again. He had a total of six hospital stays that year. In 2021, he was in the hospital almost once a month. In October 2021, he lost his job from losing so much time from work due to his health. This year already, he has been in the hospital at least four times, once for an eye stroke where he lost part of his vision. He has been admitted again, and the doctors are very concerned about Liver Failure.

The family has tried to hold it together through some unemployment and income tax returns, but they are almost maxed out. They are worried about medical bills, they are afraid about household bills, and they are even concerned with school supplies and clothes for Alexis, who's starting 9th grade.
