John Geary Memorial Service

Our beloved John Geary suddenly passed on Tuesday, November 8th. John was involved in an accident while returning home from work. The suddenness of this loss has left his family, friends, and community struggling to process this unfathomable news. 

John was a devoted father of two, a talented film restoration artist, and was passionate about science fiction, painting miniatures, and historical ships. He always prioritized his family and kept his loved ones at the center of his world. He was compassionate and always reached out to those who felt lost or had no one else to talk to. He was driven, constantly trying to improve himself to be a better person to those around him. Everything John did was for his loved ones, and we feel that love in the incredible support of his community in this terrible time. 

Upon hearing of John’s passing, many of his friends, coworkers, and family members reached out for support and offered to donate to the family for funeral and service costs. We are beyond thankful for this overwhelming support and requests to donate, and we created this GoFundMe as a way to collect donations and keep everyone updated on plans as they are formed. 

This tragedy was unexpected, and John’s family is currently focusing on supporting each other as they prepare to make arrangements. Funeral/service dates will be announced here as soon as they are available. 

All proceeds will go directly to John's family to cover the funeral expenses.
