John & Giorgia Marriage & Relocation Journey!

Hello everyone,

Giorgia and John here trusting the unknown and making a bold move on the way to the next adventure supported by Juno, the goddess of marriage!

 

John and I got called from the magic land of Avalon, and if this sounds like a fairytale with unicorns and angels… it also implies lots of anxious energy on a mundane and bureaucratic level that the unicorns cannot really solve, so…

 

Let’s step back for a sec. John and I met two years ago on an astrodrama retreat ( you find find us in Chironic and Saturnian clothes in the pic below), and since then our path got closer and closer. From a fated trip to the other side of the world, to our decision to move in together during pandemic times (something of a pandemic classic – make it or break it), and explore our possibilities in Germany, we spent a retreat phase in Portugal, and we decided that we are ready to go back where everything began – in Somerset. We don’t get bored, that’s for sure.

 

 

 

Well, now that I’ve given you the romantic part of the story, let me be quite frank with you: I have never thought about getting married before in my life. But life is full of unpredictable twists and turns and my astrological chart is making fun of me and I love to make fun of life as well (for the astro nerds reading this: I am a proud double aquarian but I have juno, the asteroid of marriage conjunct my north node, my life mission – damn it here we go BOOM – and next year’s Jupiter – Neptune conjunction will be sitting on my natal Juno LOL - help!! ) So I feel quite inspired, and happy to marry this bonkers astrologer. So, cute story on the side, Brexit (damn it) is making this process a nightmare. Tons of papers and tons of money.

 

So, we decided to ask for some support from our communities. We want to get married, and we need some big Virgo tech support to make this happen. So here we are with this funding for Visas, documents, agencies and every other incredibly boring procedure you can imagine.

I think Giorgia has kind has summed that up pretty in her own hilarious way. I really love this beautiful, talented, crazy woman and it’s becoming pretty clear that we are good for each other. Two nutters keeping each other sane in a mad world!
Giorgia knows my mercurial nature all too well, and it really means a lot to me that she has decided to trust me on this move to UK, despite the complexity and expense that we now face in order to make that happen. I’ve been longing to return for ages, and especially to come back to Glastonbury, my spiritual home.

So order to make all this happen, we are required to get married overseas, which we plan to do in Gibraltar, just like John & Yoko, in March 2022 on the Venus-Mars conjunction, and then begin the process of applying for a spousal visa for Giorgia, which will cost just under £8000 over five years. Yes, really!! The visa is applied for first for 30 months, and then re-applied for for the second 30 months. After five years, Giorgia can then claim UK residency. The expenses include:

 

Breakdown of expenses:

£1523 for the first 30 months of the visa

£1523 for the second 30 months of the visa

£3120 healthcare immigration surcharge (£625 per year)

£1200 visa agency fee

£500 marriage documents from Gibraltar

 

We have already managed to raised 2500 pounds, and this leaves just...5500 to go.

 

The expenses are not due all at once, and we can pay it off in instalments over the five years, with various lump sum amounts required at key points in the process. So it’s our intention to keep the go-fund-me campaign open throughout the process, until we have raised the amount we need.
