John H. Morse Memorial Fund

Donation protected
This fundraiser was created by ATCS to honor the life and legacy of an amazing father, husband, colleague, courageous leader, educator, mentor, and friend, John H. Morse.

While we mourn this unexpected and tragic loss, we want to offer support for his family during this difficult time, especially his wife, Kathy, and six children: Jackson, Cooper, Sullivan, Hampton, Walker, and Caroline.

John was a courageous leader who committed his life to helping others. John truly made this world a better place, and his legacy and impact will be felt for many years to come.

On Saturday, June 25, 2022, John went on a prayer walk and was unexpectedly taken home to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ face to face. John was born in Charleston, SC, to John Cullis Morse (Jack) and Erma Holland Morse. He earned a BS in Civil Engineering from the Citadel (Class of '89) and was an engineer/owner with ATCS. While engineering was his occupation, John's love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was truly his passion and it was evidenced in all areas of his life. In addition to Civil Engineering, he also studied at multiple Southern Baptist seminaries, including Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he earned a Master of Divinity, and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he earned a Master of Theology. He was ordained at Fort Johnson Baptist Church in 1994. A natural teacher, John selflessly used those gifts and served wholeheartedly throughout the years in many capacities, especially in service to his beloved Stevensburg Baptist Church.
