John Hatch Memorial Scholarship
Donation protected
John Hatch tragically left this world on December 5th, 2019 in Boston, where he was pursuing a Ph.D. in developmental and regenerative biology from Harvard University. John was a son, a friend, a scientist, and a passionate educator.

Since his time at UVA and throughout his Ph.D. program at Harvard, John always married his two big passions: science and education. His individual achievements as a scientist stand on their own. To honor both his passions, we are establishing the John Hatch Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship will provide funded fellowship opportunities at the NIH to rising seniors at St. Alban's High School. John's own NIH fellowship was a foundational part of John's journey to being a scientist and this will provide opportunities for young people to follow in his footsteps.
To help realize this goal in the face of this senseless tragedy, we are asking for your support and donations so that we can enable young scientists to continue to dream big in the way that John always did.
