Update: 1/5/2023 - Jonathan Eisen
After a nearly three-year delay, we are finally ready to hold John's memorial ceremony and plaque unveiling. Thank you all for your patience and perseverance.
The plaque unveiling and inaugural award ceremony will take place on Saturday, March 11th, 2023, at 1:00 pm in the chapter room of Theta Chi Beta Sigma.
The ceremony is open to all that wish to attend, but we would greatly appreciate your willingness to contribute to this effort, even if you are unable to join us in person.
Thank you so much for your support!
John Adam Holtz | 1987 - 2020
Theta Chi, Beta Sigma | Lehigh University Class of 2010
John Holtz was the embodiment of joy, virtue and friendship; a man that defined Theta Chi's motto of The Helping Hand. While at Lehigh, John touched the lives of so many people, both within the fraternity and throughout our campus. His capacity for unbridled geniality and camaraderie manifested in his most fitting nickname: "Big Happy."
John left us far too early and will be sorely missed, but his upstanding legacy will live on.
Please help us with the construction of a permanent memorial for John at the Theta Chi Beta Sigma Chapter House, where his friends, family and brothers shared so many cherished and loving memories with him.
With $4000, a hand-carved cast bronze plaque baring John's image in a Bas-relief will be hung in the chapter room of the fraternity house; an eternal reminder to all OX brothers and guests of his extraordinary spirit and distinguished contributions to the brotherhood of Theta Chi, the academia of Lehigh University, and the love of all of his friends and colleagues.
Donations at all levels are most appreciated.
All persons that contribute at or above the following donation levels will also be personally thanked alongside John's memorial award plaque.
$500 - Benefactor
$250 - Patron
$100 - Sponsor
We thank you for your kindness, generosity and support in transforming his memory into a monument of integrity that all OX brothers should strive to achieve.
Jon Eisen, with the assistance of members of the pledge class of 2010 and the Alumni Association, will be responsible for the management of finances and supervision of the project. Please feel free to reach out directly with any questions or comments.
Thank you again.
