John Jackson "JJ" USC legend

In early December 2018, our dear friend John Jackson Jr. was hospitalized after suffering a major stroke.  Although he has made improvements in speech and memory, he continues to struggle with mobility and other physical functions and remains hospitalized.

JJ has given us all so much throughout the years.

USC football star, holder of  manyTrojan football records. 

USC Baseball MVP and Academic All American. 

Constant USC Goodwill Ambassador.  USC Football play-by-play announcer for ESPN 710.  Friday Night Lights - High School football Fox Sports West game-of-the-week announcer in Southern California.

He was a wide receiver in the NFL for the Chicago Bears and the Phoenix Cardinals. 

And he also played pro baseball for the Giants and the Angels systems.

He is the son of legendary USC running backs coach John Jackson Sr.

All those accolades and successes aside, John remains a humble man of faith and conviction.  His greatest loves and accomplishments will always be as a husband and father. 

Although he has insurance for the medical needs, the months and possibly years ahead will be the toughest game of his life for home care, physical therapy, hospital visits, etc.  His new battle is harder than any day on the field.

So many friends, supporters and fellow Trojans have asked what they could do to help JJ and his family.  Although they are reluctant to ask for any assistance, this GoFundMe page seemed to be the best way we can show support and our love for JJ and his family as their personal "Fight On".
