John L Greenley

Officer John L. Greenley (ret). "John was a St. Charles Police Officer

for over 25 years, he loved his work, his friends, his family, and

his music. John enjoyed collecting musical instruments. Guitars mostly. He

and some friends would sit around and strum on them from time to time,

I honestly think John wanted to be in a band. John started to play his

guitars more often and was really doing good, and he would often say,

" Wanna start a band? " I knew he was kidding, but I always said sure!

Unfortunately, the band was never to be, as Cancer struck my very good

friend, at the age of 56." ~ Terry W.

John had a love and passion for music and he wanted kids to have the opportunities he had. John's shared his request with his good friend Terry and through these efforts, kids will receive musical instruments through the Play It Forward Musical Foundation. A nfp based in St. Louis, Mo.
