John Lawrence Jr. - Tragic Motorcycle Accident

Hello, my name is John Lawrence Sr. My 25 year old son, John Lawrence Jr. was in a near-fatal motorcycle crash at 11pm on May 9th, 2023. He was riding his motorcycle on the highway when a truck pulled out in front of him. He had no time to react.

He is currently sedated in critical condition in the ICU with life-altering injuries. These injuries include two collapsed lungs requiring intubation, broken ribs, surgeries for internal bleeding- removing his spleen and a section of his colon, two broken scapulas, a minor brain bleed, a fractured portion of the lower spine, two broken feet, a shattered right leg from the hip down, and a shattered right arm.

The trauma to his arm was so severe that despite doctors trying everything to save it, they had to amputate just below the shoulder. This was also his dominant arm. He currently has pins holding his leg together, with multiple surgeries scheduled to work on repairing his leg. They will need to place rods in his leg.

He is expected to have a lengthy hospital stay, with many surgeries ahead of him. He will need continuous mental and physical therapy, prosthetics, and other tools which will aid him in daily tasks.

There has been an outpouring of support from family, friends, coworkers and acquaintances of my son. We are all so very grateful.
