John Layton - FireFighter - Motorcycle Accident

Donation protected
Hello,

My brother-n-law was injured in serious motorcycle accident trying to avoid hitting a deer on his way to work on January 16, 2019.  He low-sided his bike going about 60 mph (dodging a deer) and did not slide gracefully. He managed to pull himself to the side of road and flagged down on-coming cars for help. He was then rushed to Tomball Reginal Hospital Trama Unit where they discovered his leg was broken in 3 places and his hand was also broken in many places. He also has road rash, but thank goodness he was wearing a helmet and a leather jacket because the injuries could have been much worse. On January 17th he went through surgery where they place a rod in his leg.  He is still in the hospital unsure of when he will be discharged and able to return to work. It all depends on how his physical therapy goes and how quickly he heals.

Unfortunately they are going to need some help paying bills for the next few months. We are unsure what his medical bills will end up costing along with living expenses while he heals. I have created this page to try to gather some support for my brother in law "John Layton" and his family. He is a very proud man and would never ask for any kind of hand out. So I am asking because I know this is going to be a long recovery and they are going to need all the help they can get.

Here's a little back ground of the type of man John is; He has been with the Volunteer Fire Department since 1987 "Southeast Fire Department and also Tri-County Fire Departments. He donates his time to the Wounded Warriors Program and he's also part of the Safety Team for the Lone Star 600 Races. He is a hardworking man that takes care of his family and always willing to help others out in their time of need.

Thank you to everyone for the continued prayers and all the love and support. Every day is a blessing, and with God's good grace he will continue to improve each and every day. We appreciate any help you are able to offer, financially or otherwise.
