Our friend, husband, father, brother, son, uncle, and peacemaker, John D. McCarthy passed away suddenly following a heart attack on Thursday, November 30, 2023. He is survived by his wife Trena, a teacher, and daughters LilaLee (16) and Macon (13). His daughters were adopted from China five years apart. After each daughter arrived home, she became daddy’s girl. John spent every day doting on his daughters.
The outpouring of love our family has received and hopes will continue has been a bright spot in our time of sorrow. So many have graciously asked what they can do to help.
In lieu of flowers or other memorials, a college scholarship fund has been created for LilaLee and Macon. Their family appreciates your loving generosity.
