John Mcdonnell

This fundraiser has been created for my father-in-law, John McDonnell. John has been recently been diagnosed with oral squamous cell carcinoma. On July 3, 2023 John had to have major surgery that required them to take the bone and tissue from his leg and reconstruct half of his jaw! Within that same week, John had to have several more procedures due to complications from the surgery. He is a type one diabetic, and due to his sugars being out of control during the surgery and healing process, It caused him not to heal like he should had. He was in the hospital for 3 weeks before he got to come home. John has now been in the hospital again at Baylor University since August 7th. He will undergo another major surgery tomorrow to clean out the infection and possibly remove the bone due to infection. Since radiation has been prolong due to this long healing process, they will not be able to prolong it anymore and will have to let this heal and will not be able to reconstruct his jaw until after radiation and chemo. For the last several months and for many months to come, John and Nina will not be able to work. We are asking for any donation You are able to give to help support them through this

extremely hard time. We also ask that you keep John in your prayers and also Nina, she has been by his side this entire time taking care of him. They are both ready to get back home and spend time with their grandbabies! If you know, John, well you know that he is always laughing and smiling, and he would do anything for anyone!
