Hi, My name is Dorothy Burbank, and I am raising money to help John get through a rough patch. John has had health issues since July and has been in the hospital for eight days. John lost his job at the beginning of the summer and did not have insurance, so he put off taking care of himself. He was in the hospital in July but left against medical advice because he didn't have insurance. Now John is facing congestive heart failure, a leaking valve, heart surgery and other health struggles. He will not be able to work for at least three to four months.

I am raising funds for John because he is the kind of person that always helps other people. He is a single dad, and he cares for his elderly father. When his mother became ill, they moved in with John so he could help care for her. I've seen John donate to charity when he had to pull it from his savings account because he did not have a job. He is always willing to help others. He is a kind and caring person.

The funds will go towards rent and bills so that John can stop stressing about money and focus on getting healthy again.
